The Exlabesa Group

The Exlabesa (EXL) Group is a privately family run business, based in Galicia, Spain. With over 35 years experience in the industry. The EXL group believed they could help Kaye Aluminium adopt a whole new approach and bring immediate and tangible benefits to the business.

In 2001 they acquired the business and immediately got stuck in introducing changes. The most significant of transformations was that of the restructuring of the work force to remove the middle management layer that had for so long produced hurdles in allowing managers to make changes when they saw fit. The new flatter management structure empowered the work force and allowed decisions to be made in a much more efficient manner. Further streamlining of processes and faster lines of communication allowed Kaye to begin to grow once again and this allowed the company to start investing and allow it to emerge as a successful and cutting edge company.

The Exlabesa Group itself is based in Galicia, in the North West region of Spain. There it has three sites with an overall capacity of 56,000 tonnes. (Click on the links to the left of this section to view information about each facility).
